Wyatt’s 1st Day!

Kindergarten started yesterday (9/4)! Today is the 2nd day of school for the little fella. From early reviews by WJM, he loved it! His teacher, Miss Sharon, has been teaching kindergarten at that center for many years and from some previous student’s parents opinions, she is just great.

Apparently, one of Rachel’s coworkers had one of his kids attend kindergarten about 5 years ago and was able to test straight into 2nd grade! We hope Wyatt can get into first grade, that would be perfect.

Miss Sharon is spending this first week testing and working with the class to find out where each child fits in her program as far as their current knowledge levels are.

Wyatt did mention that he felt a little bored at times during the class. We tried to help him understand that this is normal and there might be times where he is bored and needs to find ways to stay interested.

If you look to the right, you will see a link to some photos from his first day of school. He has some new clothes and a fresh haircut. He even got a new Spider man backpack to carry all his school stuff. Wyatt is so excited and we just know he will shine! His Aunt Ruth teaches kindergarten at a public school near Salt Lake City and has said over and again that he is doing as well or better than her current students.

We enter a new chapter in our baby’s development. In mere months, he will already be five years old! He’s growing up at a blinding pace! We love him and are so grateful for all the things he’s taught us. We are also grateful to have him as part of our family.
