Another Excellent Weekend

Thanks again, to our new roomies, Kenn & Marie! They were able to score deeply discounted tickets to Lagoon (read previous post HERE). They invited us to join them and we were thrilled for the chance! Lagoon is a lot of fun and there’s tons to do for people who like roller coasters, water slides, kiddie rides, carnival games, just about whatever you want to do for fun. As mentioned in the linked post, Lagoon is NO Disneyland. It was a lot of fun and required very little travel and money to enjoy. We were able to make it to the park a bit before they opened so got great parking and made some of the good rides before the lines began really building. Wyatt rode quite a bit of rides we were surprised he’d even consider. He tends to share his Mom’s fears of drops and dips and as we discovered, “ones that goes upside-down”. A few that he really loved, we went multiple times. My favorites of the day were the Rattlesnake Rapids, The Pirate Ship, and (believe it) the Dinosaur Drop! I think Wyatt had very similar choices for favorites, but add in the miniature steam train that runs through their “zoo” section. We had prepared and hoped to go to Lagoon-A-Beach, their swimming and slides section, but they had a good couple-hour wait to get in. By the time, we were going to try to get in, we were pretty tired anyway and it was almost 4pm. We opted, instead, to call it a fantastic day and head home to relax and rest a bit.

What a wonderful day. Having good friends is definately advantageous on a lot of levels, aside from these kind of benefits (plus they have a PS3 and a Wii!), but they bring more life and completeness to our home. They desire to follow the Lord and we all are working towards common goals and achievements. We are so grateful they decided to join us!

We had the best time we’ve ever had at Lagoon. Thanks for going with us. It wouldn’t have been nearly as fun without you guys.
