I am serching My geanealogie and in my family my grand mother mum(gran grand mother ) its Angela Marini, Daughter of Eugenio and Caroline Marini
Do you know if your family came from some part of Torino, Italy
If Not sorry for the inconvinience
Genaro
As you can see I am a Marini as well. I came from the Abruzzi region ( not Torino – even though I lived in the Torino area for a few years). The curious thing is that I know a “Pirzio Biroli” who currently lives in London, but lived in Milano earlier and also spent a few years in the US. I will send him a link to this page and see if he connects…
Thank you for the note. I will be honest and tell you that I don’t know a lot of the history on my father’s side. I know that my grandfather, Charles, was from New Jersey. I’m afraid I don’t know much more than that. But it’s good having you reading the blog!
A good way to find out would be through GeneTree we have developed and online Social Network combined with a tool for tracking down your genealogy using DNA. A quick swish with mouthwash and we can tell you things about your genealogy that you never knew just by tracing your DNA.
Looking at geneanet.org I see 2 entries in Piedmont region for Marini. A Marini from Pagno, Cuneo and a Raggi de Marini from Torino. It may be possible that “Raggi de” portion of your family name may have been dropped if you are related to this family.
With all the Marin’s, Marini’s and Marino’s I am surprised there is not a website for these surnames.
There also a lot of Coat of Arms for individuals under these names.
