Marini Family Travels

Open Road

We seem to take a lot of trips as a family. I, personally, love road trips and am usually excited for the opportunity to get behind the wheel and just go! Last year, we took numerous trips to Washington as my Father was ailing. We also explored around Utah just with some day trips.

This year we’ve taken a few trips to Idaho for different reasons all including visiting with family. We visited Pocatello for Rachel’s step-sister’s baptism. We went to the Boise/Nampa area to visit with Joe’s wife and kids. We just went to Soda Springs for a visit to Rachel’s Aunt Joy. I couldn’t imagine going to Idaho, just to go to Idaho. It’s pretty bleak and just a lot of farming areas. But family is always a good reason to travel.

This coming weekend, we plan to drive to the Bay Area in California to pick up a bunch of stuff that Rachel’s dad pulled out of some storage. Again, I’m happy to drive and I miss the Bay. We also hope to make it up to Washington in late September or October to visit with my family. I originally wanted to attend the Puyallup Fair in September, but found that it might be more enjoyable to go in October when Joe has a week off from work. I’ll keep you all updated on plans.

Here’s a quick list of places we’ve driven to in the past almost 2 years, since we’ve been in Utah (in no particular order):

  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Nampa, ID
  • Boise, ID
  • Soda Springs, ID
  • Pocatello, ID
  • Park City, UT
  • Cedar City, UT
  • Moab, UT
  • Logan, UT
  • Heber City, UT
  • Spokane, WA
  • Tacoma, WA
  • Bonney Lake, WA
  • Seattle, WA

These are the actual destinations. If I am reminded of any others, I will post updates.

Be good.
