I’m pretty excited about a few things this week. We started last week with our first FHE as a family. (See? Utah can be a good influence!) We used a binder based on President Gordon B. Hinckley’s books about Love and the 7 Be’s. The first lesson was called Love- The lodestar of life. We had a song, snacks and a marginally OK lesson by yours truly. I’m excited for today’s FHE lesson by Rachel. I’m feeling good about encouraging the family to start this excellent practice
Nextly, we had purchased a new 10 gallon glass fish tank with new rocks and plants. We set it up Saturday and it should be ready for some new fish today. We plan to get some smallish tropical fish that will hopefully not require as much cleaning and maintenance as our previous goldfish. Apparently, I ruined our other tank by washing the entire thing in the dishwasher. My intent was to get it very clean but apparently dish detergents are fairly deadly to fish. $10 for a new tank that’s glass is not a big investment. We’re happy to continue our fish-raising hobby.
Lastly, we are welcoming many visitors to the house to celebrate Mary Yorke’s Temple endowment. She is preparing to be married for Eternity in November and needs to do the work for herself. This is happening this coming Thursday. We will welcome many family members and friends this week. It’s always with great pleasure and pride that we host guests at our home.
