We had a great weekend! It started on Saturday morning with us meeting with Wyatt’s Aunt Bekah to go school clothes shopping. We spent a bit over $200 but were convinced that we saved a ton due to many 40% or higher discounts they were offering at Kohl’s. Wyatt’s wardrobe completely updated, we then split up. Rachel, Bekah and our friend, Lynda, all went to a Thai restaraunt for dinner and then to see Mamma Mia at the theaters. Wyatt and I grabbed our mits and hats and headed up to Franklin Covey Field in Salt Lake City to watch the Pacific Coast League farm team for the LA Angels of Anaheim, the Salt Lake Bees play the farm team for the Colorado Rockies, the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
Wyatt was doing great until about the bottom of the 2nd inning when he began asking if it was over yet. After explaining, several times, how the game worked and how long it would be, we worked through the entire game. The Bees won with a final score of 13-9.
Wyatt got a free mini bat and I got a free sample of some cologne called Reaction. After the game, we lined up for Wyatt to go run the bases out in the field. That was a lot of fun and he got a free kid’s meal at Old Spaghetti Factory! It was a great time! I’ve always loved baseball games and growing up near Tacoma, WA, I’ve been able to attend both AAA Minor League games with the Tacoma Rainiers as well as the Seattle Mariner’s Major League games.
We got home around midnight and headed to bed after giving a full report to Mommy. We slept and got up and headed to church. We met with our bishop for a few minutes for a bit of a post-mortem meeting since asking our friends to find another living situation. He was able to clarify a lot of things for both of us and offer some great encouragement. Bekah and Lynda came over for some games and a lovely enchilada (Mexican style, with a fried egg on top!) dinner. We played Disney Guess Who? and Imaginiff, a cool game where you pick from a list to describe how that person is like that item.
It was a really good weekend and I am grateful for those ones. Can’t wait till Wyatt starts Kindergarten, next Monday! Should be a blast!
